I had a amazing time at Latitude despite the rain. it did get rather muddy though. Highlights were Alan Carr, Dylan Moran, Live Buzzcocks show, Caribou, Crystal Fighters, Paulo Nutini, Gold Panda, Ghostpoet, cocknbullkid, and I even saw some of the national ballet.
Just had to post this photo that my friend took at a garden party we were at recently. It was great had the chance to dress up, which I never get to do. And she got a lovely photo of my shoes, note how colour co-ordinated I am (which rarely happens).
I am of to Latitude today yeyyyyy! Although there is lots of rain outside my window at the moment so wellies are definitely needed. will see you next week !
This is my friend Jess, I love her work and she's doing very well after finishing uni last year. Thought I'd show you some of her work, if you like it and want to check out more go see her website.
While in London over the weekend I made a visit to the V&A, and had a look at the Cult of Beauty exhibition, which follows the aesthetic movement of art and design from 1860 to 1890. It was such a beautiful exhibition, with pieces from Whistler, William Morris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and some amazing ceramics from William De Morgan. There is loads of gorgeous paintings and furniture, ceramics, fabrics, wallpapers the list goes on. It is definitely worth a visit and is on until 17th July so get down their quickly. Check it out on the v&a website.
On my trip to London at the weekend I popped into to Liberty to look at all the gorgeous things, and spied these amazing watches. I can't decide between the leather strap or the silk one, they are both sooooo lovely, but I will definitely have to have one of them.
This is my third attempt at baking from the hummingbird bakery book, and the most successful. Although the cake didn't rise as much as I would have liked I did have lots of fun decorating them (and eating the icing). Next I'm going to attempt the carrot cake, fingers crossed!
I went to an exhibition of a friend last night, Lucy Blue. She is the 8th artist to take part in the 11 artist project by shhh clothing. Here are some pictures of her t-shirts which are available to buy from the shhh website I really like the nice summery colours and the geo patterns, they also come as women's crop tops. Check out Lucy's website.
